Polyurethane Experience Since 1983 The experience behind Metric Elastomers began in 1983 and has developed through more than four decades of involvement with castable and spray-applied polyurethane elastomers. Over that time, this experience has included polyurethane processing equipment design and development, tooling, material processing, application procedures, troubleshooting and technical support for demanding industrial applications. Industries and applications have included mining and mineral processing, hydroelectric power generation, pumps, fans and blowers, material handling equipment, manufacturing and other severe-service environments involving abrasion, erosion, impact and cavitation. Equipment Designed From Application Experience Metric Elastomers manufactures the SFLP-D polyurethane processing machine and the auxiliary equipment required to support complete polyurethane processing installations. The SFLP-D was developed from practical experience with polyurethane processing and application requirements. This approach allows equipment configurations to be considered in relation to the material being processed, the application method and the customer's actual operating requirements. We believe processing equipment should be more than a collection of components. It should be designed around an understanding of how polyurethane is processed and applied in the real world. Coatings Inspection & Technical Expertise Metric Elastomers' technical capabilities are further supported by an AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector credential. This background provides additional expertise in areas including surface preparation, coating application, inspection practices, quality control and the evaluation of protective coating systems and substrates. Combining coatings inspection knowledge with extensive polyurethane processing experience allows Metric Elastomers to approach applications from both an equipment and performance perspective.
