SFLP-D Polyurethane Processing Machine

The SFLP-D is a specialized plural-component polyurethane processing machine designed and manufactured for the accurate processing and application of 100% solids polyurethane elastomer systems.
Unlike conventional high-pressure processing equipment, the SFLP-D uses a low-pressure, continuous-flow design with independently controlled rotary gear pumps and digital servo-drive technology. This provides the operator with precise control over material ratio and flow rate while maintaining a simple, practical and serviceable processing platform.
Accurate Ratio Control
One of the key advantages of the SFLP-D is the ability to perform mass-based ratio verification through cup testing.
Each material pump is independently controlled, allowing the operator to fine-tune pump RPM after ratio verification. Once the correct ratio and pump settings have been established, those settings can be recorded and reproduced at the required processing flow rate.
This provides an additional level of ratio control compared with relying solely on volumetric displacement.
Adjustable Material Delivery
The SFLP-D provides an adjustable processing flow rate, allowing material delivery to be tailored to the application.
Lower flow rates can be used for restricted areas, complex geometries and detailed work, while higher flow rates can be selected for larger processing areas. The machine maintains the established material ratio by controlling the individual pump speeds.
Low-Pressure Static Mixing
The SFLP-D utilizes static mixing technology to thoroughly combine the two material components without requiring high-pressure impingement mixing.
Disposable static mixers simplify cleanup and maintenance while providing homogeneous and uniform mixed-material flow. The low-pressure design also reduces machine complexity and maintenance requirements compared with conventional high-pressure processing equipment.
Digital Control
The SFLP-D incorporates an HMI (Human Machine Interface), PLC control and servo-drive motors to provide accurate and repeatable processing control.

Process charting and data logging
Servo-drive control maintains the selected pump RPM despite changes in system back pressure, helping provide consistent material delivery during processing.

Low electrical and compressed-air requirements make the system easier to deploy in industrial environments, while simplified startup, shutdown and gun maintenance help reduce operating time and maintenance requirements.
The integrated recycle system helps maintain temperature through the material supply system and pumps during standby and also provides convenient access for performing ratio cup tests.
